15 outstanding works shortlisted for the Tiantan Award

Chinese director and actor Jiang Wen will preside as president of the international jury for this year's "Tiantan Award" of the 15th Beijing International Filmi Festival. Other jury members include: Chinese director and actress Joan Chen, British director David Yates, Chinese actress Ni Ni, Finnish director Teemu Nikki, director and actor Vincent Perez from Switzerland, the Guest Country of Honor, and art director Timmy Yip from Hong Kong, China.
A total of 15 films have been shortlisted for the Competition Section of "Tiantan Award", including 12 foreign films and three domestic films, which are:

Japan: BAUS: The Ship's Voyage Continues
China: Better Me, Better You
China: Deep in the Mountains
Switzerland: Frieda's Case
Germany: In My Parents' House
Norway: Loveable
Kenya/Germany: Nawi: Dear Future Me
Canada/France: Shepherds
Italy/Belgium/Bulgaria: The Great Ambition
Argentina/Spain/Uruguay: The Message
Finland/UK/USA: The Summer Book
China: High 'N' Dry
Belgium:Vitrival: The Most Beautiful Village in the World
Iran/Czech Republic: Vortex
Ten awards will be selected from the 15 shortlisted films for Best Feature Film, Best Director, Best Artistic Contribution, Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, and Best Music. The winners will be announced at the Closing & Awards Ceremony.
The Forward Future Section seeks debut and sophomore narrative feature films from emerging global filmmakers. Hungarian director Béla Tarr will serves as the jury president, joined by four jury members: actress Jin Chen, Japanese director Sabu, actor Song Yang, and Swiss director Cyril Schäublin.
